What's better than a good date night? A date DAY! It doesn't get much better than being outside in nature, with my man for the whole day!
This day we had brunch at Black Cottage Cafe in Coatesville (amazing!) and then went to White's Beach in Anawhata. Anyone who has been here knows the road to get here is about 10km of gravel - but it is worth it when you get there, I promise! The track has an incredible view over Piha and then leads to White's Beach which is so beautifully rugged in true West Coast style!
Thing's to know about this track:
Another West Coast beauty! I had been wanting to do this walk for awhile and I am so glad I finally did it a couple of weeks ago. West Coast walks will probably always be my favourite - there is nothing quite like the rugged beauty!

Last year I wrote a post about how I planned to come to Mahurangi Regional Park but somehow ended up in Scandrett Regional Park, haha! Well, six months later I actually made it to Mahurangi Regional Park. It is so beautiful! I couldn't believe I hadn't come here sooner, especially considering how close it is to my house!
This park had green hills for days, sparking seas views and fresh crisp air. The thing I liked about the walking tracks here, is you can just custom make your walking path. You can do a whole loop track or part of two different ones. We basically did a big loop of the whole park (I am not even sure what tracks we took). On the drive down (before we got to the beach/park) we saw an entrance at the top of a hill and just started there, pictured in the photo above. I was once again blown away by how magical New Zealand is!
Fairy Falls, located in the Waitakere Ranges, is nothing short of amazing. It is one of those places that you go to and literally feel overwhelmed by the beauty of it. I could come here a hundred times and still be ‘wowed.’
It consists of two part’s, the lower fall’s and then the upper falls, which is a series of smaller waterfalls. It’s amazing walking down the track and seeing several smaller falls, amongst lush bush.
